Miguel Andujar Hitting Third In Pirates Debut
2 years agoPittsburgh Pirates third baseman/outfielder Miguel Andujar is serving as the designated hitter and is batting third on Monday against the Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Chase Anderson in his Pirates debut. The Bucs claimed Andujar off waivers from the New York Yankees after he was designated for assignment late last week. The 27-year-old Dominican played in just 27 games for the Yankees this year and hit only .229 (22-for-96) with a homer and eight RBI, but he played well while in the minor leagues and could see considerable playing time to close out the 2022 season with his new team, making him worth a look in NL-only and deep mixed leagues.
