Kansas City Royals second baseman Michael Massey is not in the team's starting lineup for Friday's series opener on the road against the division-rival Chicago White Sox. Rookie Jac Caglianone is serving as the team's designated hitter and is batting sixth against White Sox right-hander Davis Martin. Massey could start to lose more playing time with Caglianone, one of the best prospects in all of baseball, now in town. The 27-year-old left-handed hitter is barely above the Mendoza Line as a hitter and has contributed just two home runs, 14 RBI, 10 runs scored and a stolen base in 195 at-bats over 54 games in his fourth season in the big leagues. In his last seven games since May 24, Massey has gone 4-for-27 (.148) with a run scored, one walk and five strikeouts. He should be on the waiver wire in all mixed fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez
