Mets Calling Jed Lowrie's Injury Knee Soreness
6 years agoThe New York Mets are calling third baseman Jed Lowrie's injury "soreness behind his left knee." An MRI exam on the knee showed no structural damage on Thursday, and the team will ease him back into spring activities and games once he's 100 percent. It doesn't sound serious and he should have plenty of time to ramp up before Opening Day, but it's not a good start for the 2018 All-Star in his first camp with the Mets. Lowrie set career highs with 23 home runs and 99 RBI with Oakland last year, but it'd be foolish to expect him to match those numbers in 2019 going into his age-35 season.
