Melvin Ingram Signs Adjusted Contract
4 years agoLos Angeles Chargers defensive end Melvin Ingram signed an adjusted contract on Thursday, with the team guaranteeing his salary in 2020, according to sources. Ingram was at training camp with the Bolts, but he was sitting out of practices because he was unhappy with his contract. How this affects his push for a long-term contract extension remains to be seen. The 31-year-old is in the final year of his contract and wants some long-term security after the Chargers gave Joey Bosa a five-year, $135 million extension. He's been a Pro Bowler each of the last three years and had seven sacks in each of the last two seasons. Ingram is a surefire starting defensive lineman in IDP leagues, and Bosa's presence makes him even better.
