Mekhi Becton Practicing In Full
3 years agoNew York Jets left tackle Mekhi Becton (concussion) is practicing in full on Wednesday and has been cleared for the Week 1 season opener against the Carolina Panthers. Becton started 13 games at left tackle for the Jets in his rookie season after being the 11th overall pick in the 2020 draft. The 6-foot-7, 364-pounder will be tasked with giving rookie quarterback Zach Wilson more time in the pocket this year. Becton overcame plantar fasciitis in the spring and dealt with head issues in training camp, but he's healthy and ready to go for the start of the regular season. It's excellent news for Wilson as he looks to turn Gang Green's fortunes around. Wilson will have plenty of ups and downs in his rookie season, making him a much better option for the long term in dynasty/keeper leagues.
