Martin Perez Rocked On Saturday
3 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Martin Perez had a rough outing Saturday against the Chicago White Sox, allowing six earned runs over five innings. Perez struck out four and walked two. His biggest issue today was that he allowed a whopping 12 hits, three of which went for extra bases. He was hit hard all day by the White Sox lineup, who put up multiple runs in each of the second, third, and fifth inning against Perez. The White Sox have the highest OPS (.845) against lefties of any MLB team this season, so he can be forgiven for this one. Perez still has a 2.18 ERA and 1.10 WHIP on the season, but you can expect some regression from those stellar numbers. He should still be a decent option for fantasy managers looking for good ratios.
