Marquez Valdes-Scantling Could Be Game-Time Decision
3 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said it will take the entire week to determine whether wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling (hamstring) will be able to play in Week 4 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Valdes-Scantling missed practice on Wednesday after he suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 3 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Through three games, MVS is second in targets (16) behind Davante Adams, and he's caught only six of those targets for 76 yards and a touchdown. If he cannot make it on game day this Sunday, Allen Lazard and Randall Cobb should see additional work in the passing game, as well as Amari Rodgers and Malik Taylor. Although Green Bay has a nice matchup against the Steelers secondary this weekend, it's hard to trust any Packers wideout not named Adams for consistent fantasy production.
