The Miami Marlins selected Coastal Carolina pitcher Zach McCambley with the 75th overall pick in the third round in the 2020 MLB draft on Thursday. Miami concluded their draft this year by taking Vanderbilt pitcher Jake Eder in the fourth round and USC pitcher Kyle Hurt in the fifth and final round. The Fish used all six of their picks this year on pitching. McCambley, a righty, has high spin rates on his pitches but must refine his changeup and improve his control and command. Eder, a southpaw, has mid-rotation upside with a nice 6-foot-4 frame if he can become more consistent. Hurt, an inconsistent righty reliever-turned-starter, can stick in a rotation at the next level if he can continue to refine the command of his fastball (92-94 mph, tops out at 97) and breaking pitches to complement his plus changeup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
