Mario Addison's Roster Spot May Be In Jeopardy
3 years agoBuffalo Bills defensive end Mario Addison's roster spot could be in jeopardy this summer after the team drafted defensive ends Greg Rousseau and Boogie Basham in the first two rounds. They are both guaranteed roster spots heading into their rookie seasons. Addison signed a three-year deal last offseason, but he had just five sacks in his first year in Buffalo after having at least nine sacks in the previous four seasons with the Carolina Panthers and at least six sacks the previous six years. He'll also turn 34 years old this September. If the Bills release him, they'd save $2.127 million in 2021 and have dead-cap hits of $6.05 million in 2021 and $2 million in 2022. If Addison sticks around, don't expect him to be on the field all that much.
