1 year agoThe Chicago Cubs placed right-hander Marcus Stroman (hip) on the 15-day injured list on Wednesday with right-hip inflammation and added reliever Jose Cuas to the active roster in a corresponding move. This likely explains why Stroman has been struggling so much in his recent starts. The 32-year-old veteran allowed six runs in just three innings in a loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, and he's surrendered 17 earned runs in 10 innings while walking eight and striking out 10 in his last three starts. Stroman was excellent in the first half of the season, though, so fantasy managers shouldn't give up on him yet. All in all, he's gone 10-8 with a 3.85 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 111 strikeouts in 128 2/3 frames over his 23 starts. Keep him stashed in fantasy leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
