Marco Gonzales Activated From IL, Starting Tuesday Night
4 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher Marco Gonzales (forearm) has been activated from the injured list and will start on Tuesday night against the Athletics, according to Daniel Kramer of MLB.com. Gonzales has been out since April 27 with a forearm strain after starting the year with a 5.40 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 28 1/3 innings of work. Corey Brock of The Athletic adds that Gonzales is expected to only pitch three or so innings Tuesday night, with manager Scott Servais saying the team will be cautious with building up Gonzales. Managers should leave Gonzales on the bench for tonight given that news, but hopefully he'll be able to turn things around soon and become the viable fantasy pitcher that he has been over the past two seasons.
