Manny Machado Picking Up The Pace
2 years agoSan Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado has gone 12-for-30 over the last seven games after a stretch that saw him go 1-for-11 in his first three games off the injured list. He has raised his batting average 27 points to .249 (49-for-197) and his OPS 54 points to .682 over the last seven games. The 30-year-old six-time All-Star missed some time recently with a small fracture in his hand, but he's back now and is starting to swing a hot bat after an extremely slow start to the 2023 season. Machado remains a must-start in fantasy lineups when he's on the field, but his nine doubles, six home runs, 21 RBI and 25 runs scored in 50 games aren't what we were expecting. However, there's plenty of time still for him to turn things around.
