Le'Veon Bell Signs One-Year Deal With Chiefs
4 years agoThe Kansas City Chiefs signed running back Le'Veon Bell to a one-year deal on Thursday just two days after he was released by the New York Jets. Bell sat out the 2018 season after three Pro Bowl selections and two All-Pro nods with the Steelers and looked like a shell of his former self in the year-plus he spent in New York. The multi-faceted running back now joins the defending Super Bowl champions in head coach Andy Reid's dynamic offense. An already explosive offense now adds another shiny toy to help complement rookie Clyde Edwards-Helaire in the backfield. However, the 28-year-old won't play in Week 6 against the Bills, as he'll have to go through six days of COVID-19 protocols. He should be ready to go by Week 7 when the Chiefs face the Broncos. CEH will take a hit with this move, but he'll still be at least a low-end RB2/high-end RB3, while Bell will have flex appeal and RB2 upside in PPR leagues.
