Leury Garcia Recovering From Thumb Surgery
4 years agoChicago White Sox utility man Leury Garcia (thumb) looked good during a workout on Sunday and took some swings in a simulated game during a workout on Monday. The switch-hitter has been out since Aug. 10 after having surgery to fix a severed ligament in his left thumb. Garcia was put on the 45-day injured list back in August, so he won't be an option off the bench for the Pale Hose if they make a run in the 2020 postseason. The 29-year-old hit .271/.317/.441 with three home runs and eight RBI in 59 at-bats over 16 games during the shortened season.
