Lanto Griffin is set to participate in the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities this week. He had finished at T51 in the John Deere Classic tournament three weeks ago. However, Griffin had missed the cut in three consecutive tournaments and five out of his last eight appearances before that. In his previous appearance at the 3M Open in 2021, Griffin was unable to make the cut. It is worth noting that over 40% of approach shots at last year's 3M Open were taken from 150-200 yards, and this year, Griffin ranks in the 17th percentile for proximity to the hole and 21st percentile for strokes gained per shot on approaches from 150-200 yards in the fairway.
