Landen Roupp Shuts Down Nationals in Victory
Landen Roupp (3-3) stymied the Washington Nationals in a 4-0 win on Friday. Roupp tossed six innings of five-hit ball with two strikeouts and two walks to rack up his third quality start of the season. He picked up his third win of the season. The 26-year-old has taken the hill 10 times this season and has allowed three or fewer earned runs on eight occasions. He now owns a solid 3.63 ERA with 49 strikeouts against 18 walks over 52 innings. Roupp's next scheduled start will come on the road Wednesday against Detroit, whose offense has been among the majors' best this year.
