Kyle Wright Encouraged After First Bullpen
2 years agoAtlanta Braves right-hander Kyle Wright (shoulder) said he "felt really good" after his first bullpen session of spring training on Friday. Wright ended up throwing 23 fastballs. The 27-year-old entered camp behind the other pitchers due to a right shoulder injury that required an injection last month. It's unknown if he'll be ready for the start of the regular season, but there's still a chance he could be if he doesn't experience any setbacks in Grapefruit League play. Wright proved himself in 2022 and developed into a solid mid-rotation starter for the Braves and fantasy managers by going 21-5 with a 3.19 ERA (3.58 FIP), 1.16 WHIP and career-high 23.6 percent strikeout rate in a career-high 180 1/3 innings over 30 starts.
