Miami Marlins outfielder Kyle Stowers (hamstring) is expected to be activated from the 10-day injured list on Monday, according to Isaac Azout of Fish on First. To make room for Stowers on the major-league roster, the Marlins are optioning Deyvison De Los Santos to the minors, according to a source. Even though Stowers did not go on a minor-league rehab assignment, he should be back in the team's starting nine for Monday's series opener at home against the visiting Boston Red Sox and left-hander Ranger Suarez. The 28-year-old left-handed-hitting outfielder last played for the Fish on Aug. 9 when he strained his left hamstring. The former second-rounder by the Baltimore Orioles in 2019 out of Stanford University will be returning to a .242/.327/.462 slash line with a .788 OPS, 16 home runs, 52 RBI, 44 runs scored, and a stolen base in 351 at-bats in his second full season with the Marlins. Stowers has not lived up to his breakout campaign from a year ago, when he hit .288 (115-for-399) with 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 61 runs scored, and five steals in 117 games played.--Keith Hernandez
