Kurt Suzuki Opens Offensive Flood Gates
5 years agoWashington Nationals catcher Kurt Suzuki went 2-for-5 with a solo home run in the Nationals 12-3 win over the Astros in Game 2 of the World Series. Suzuki took Astros starter Justin Verlander deep in the seventh inning to unlock a 2-2 tie at the time. The home run opened the door for a six-run Nationals seventh inning and Washington now owns a commanding 2-0 lead in the series. It has been a dismal offensive postseason for the veteran catcher but his home run will be remembered by Nationals fans for a long time.
