Houston Astros pitcher Ken Giles picked up his fifth save of the season as the Astros beat the A's 4-1. It was his second save in as many days for the embattled Houston closer after allowing four runs to the Yankees on May 1st. It has been a roller coaster ride for Giles early on this season. He has battled ineffectiveness, back issues and even punching himself in the face after a poor outing. His hold on the closer's role is tepid at best right now and the Astros have relievers Brad Peacock and Chris Devenski ready in the wings to pick up some saves. For now, though, it appears manager A.J. Hinch will continue to give Giles the ball in the ninth inning.--Joey C - RotoBaller
