Keaton Winn To Start On Friday
1 year agoSan Francisco Giants rookie right-hander Keaton Winn (illness) will make his final start of the year on Friday against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers. He will be making his return for the first time since being placed on the COVID list on Sept. 19, so he'll be a risky fantasy streamer for anyone still playing for something in the final weekend of the regular season. The 25-year-old rookie has held his own, though, in his first eight big-league appearances (four starts), posting a 3.89 ERA (3.66 FIP), 1.03 WHIP, only eight walks and 30 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched. Winn has some interesting long-term upside for San Francisco, but he also hasn't thrown more than 80 pitches in any of his outings for the Giants this year.
