K.J. Hamler Was A Tease In His Rookie Year
3 years agoDenver Broncos wide receiver K.J. Hamler was a tease for fantasy managers in his rookie season. He gives Broncos offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur all kinds of options when he's healthy, as Hamler can be lined up anywhere from the slot to the backfield because of his quickness and speed. But nagging hamstring injuries stunted his progress in 2020 and kept him off the field for this summer's offseason program. The 22-year-old speedster saw action in just 13 games (four starts) and drew 56 targets as the primary deep threat, going for 381 yards and three touchdowns. Hamler has the ability to make splash plays, but he'll be competing with Tim Patrick for the No. 3 job behind Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy. He'll need to stay healthy and win the No. 3 job to even be worth considering as a late-round flier in standard-sized leagues.
