Justin Fields Downgraded On Thursday
3 years agoChicago Bears rookie quarterback Justin Fields (ankle) missed practice on Thursday after he was a limited participant on Wednesday. Mid-week downgrades are usually never a positive sign, but the Bears could also just be resting the 22-year-old rookie in advance of their Week 16 date with the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Andy Dalton (groin, hand) is back from the COVID-19 list and practicing in full, so if Fields' injury keeps him from playing this weekend, the Red Rifle would likely return to a starting role under center instead of Nick Foles. Friday will give us a better idea of whether Fields is actually in danger of missing Week 16. Seattle's defense has allowed the most passing yards per game (273.9) this year, but Fields has been too inconsistent this year to be anything more than a midrange QB2 option in fantasy.
