Josh Lowe Gets The Start In Game 2
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Josh Lowe is playing right field and batting cleanup in Game 2 of the wild-card series on Wednesday against the visiting Texas Rangers and right-hander Nathan Eovaldi. Lowe was on the bench for Game 1 with the Rangers throwing a left-hander, but he did draw a walk as a pinch-hitter late in the loss. With Lowe in the lineup as the Rays look to keep their season alive, Jose Siri will retreat to the bench. Lowe had a strong .292 average (136-for-466) with a career-high 20 home runs and 32 stolen bases in 135 games played. Against righties, he hit .300 (121-for-403) with 18 of his homer, 73 RBI and 30 steals. In five career at-bats against Eovaldi, Lowe has three hits (one double) and two walks.
