6/10:While it sounded as though Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Josh Donaldson was at least close to coming off the disabled list, it may not be as much of a certainty as we thought. Donaldson, out for about two weeks with a calf injury, has yet to complete some baserunning drills – which he needs to do prior to being activated from the disabled list. I’m no doctor, but presumably if Donaldson could run at full effort, he simply would have done so already. We don’t know when Donaldson is expected to attempt the required drills, but one can only hope it will be early in the week. He’s already hit the minimum time required to be on the disabled list, so activation could come at any point once he shows he’s ready.--John Smith
