2 years agoSan Diego Padres first baseman/designated hitter Josh Bell is on the bench again for Game 2 of the National League Division Series on Wednesday against the division-rival Los Angeles Dodgers and left-handed starter Clayton Kershaw. The left-handed-hitting Bell will likely start on the bench again in this series once left-hander Tyler Anderson makes his start at some point when the series shifts to San Diego this weekend. Bell came in as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning in the Game 1 loss on Tuesday and went 0-for-2 with a strikeout. Brandon Drury is serving as the designated hitter again on Wednesday and is hitting cleanup. Drury is 0-for-6 with three strikeouts in two playoff games this year, but he's a much better hitter against lefties.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
