Jorge Polanco Homers Twice In Wednesday's Loss
4 years agoMinnesota Twins second baseman/shortstop Jorge Polanco went 2-for-5 with two home runs and three RBI in Wednesday's loss to the New York Yankees. Polanco got the Twins on the board with a solo home run off of Gerrit Cole in the third inning, then belted a two-run shot in the ninth inning with his team down to their last out. Both of his homers traveled at exit velocities of 104 MPH or greater. Polanco is on a roll in June, batting .303 with three homers, two doubles, and six RBI in 33 at-bats. He is starting to do damage against right-handers once again and will get a matchup against Yankees' righty Michael King on Thursday.
