5 months agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery (elbow) threw batting practice on Friday and is on track for a return in August, according to manager Aaron Boone. Montgomery is making a recovery from Tommy John surgery and should be available to fantasy owners late in the second half of the season. The left-hander went 2-0 with a 3.62 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, 7.6 K/9 and 4.0 BB/9 in 27 1/3 innings over six starts for the Yankees in 2018, but don't count on him being a difference-maker in a couple months to close out the 2019 season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
