Jon Gray To Start On Friday
Jon Gray (forearm) will be activated from the 10-day injured list in order to start on Friday in the series opener against the Milwaukee Brewers. Gray allowed two runs on five hits while striking out six in four innings for Triple-A Albuquerque on June 20, throwing 62 pitches (38 for strikes). He reported no problems after the rehab start and also threw a side session on Tuesday. Manager Bud Black said Gray "feels good." The 29-year-old has been out with a right forearm flexor strain. Because he could be on a limited pitch count in his first game back against Milwaukee, Gray isn't a recommended play in fantasy this Friday. He's sporting a 4.29 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 50:27 K:BB in 12 starts (63 innings) this season.
