Joe Burrow On Track For Week 1 Return
4 years agoCincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (knee), who had reconstructive left knee surgery last December, is "all systems go" for the 2021 regular season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, according to Dr. Neal ElAttrache. Doctors don't want any contact for Burrow until nine months, which could lead to Burrow resting during the preseason. Before the injury in his rookie season, the first overall pick completed 65.3 percent of his passes for 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns and five interceptions in 10 starts for Cincy. The Bengals selected wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase with the fifth overall pick in last month's draft, giving Burrow plenty of weapons in the passing game, including Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. With Burrow on track to be ready, he'll represent a low-end QB1/high-end QB2 for fantasy managers heading into fall drafts.
