Joe Burrow Not Expected To Play In Preseason
3 years agoCincinnati Bengals president Mike Brown said the team "probably" won't put quarterback Joe Burrow (knee) in game action until the start of the regular season. The Bengals understandably don't want to risk injury to their franchise signal-caller after he underwent surgery to fix his ACL last December. The good news is that Burrow has been cleared for 11-on-11 drills at training camp and will get all the practice repetitions he needs to be fully ready for Week 1 against the Minnesota Vikings. As long as the second-year quarterback doesn't suffer any setbacks before the season starts, he will have QB1 upside in a Bengals offense on the rise. Burrow is currently being drafted, on average, just behind Matthew Stafford as a high-end QB2/low-end QB1 in 12-team leagues.
