11 months agoWith starting pitcher Marcus Stroman now on the disabled list due to shoulder inflammation, Joe Biagini will get the nod for the Toronto Blue Jays against the Boston Red Sox on Sunday. The Blue Jays may have faith in Biagini to give them a good outing, but for fantasy purposes, you shouldn’t. Although very talented, Biagini’s previous flashes haven’t translated to results in 2018. In two spot-starts for Toronto this year, Biagini owns a terrible 8.10 ERA and 2.00 WHIP while striking out eight against four walks across 10 innings pitched. His results in the minors this season haven’t been much better, so he’s simply not pitching well overall. Given what we’ve seen he can do previously, though, if he does perform better than expected he could be worth fantasy consideration down the line.--John Smith
