Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry was relieved of his duties running the team's defense on Wednesday despite the team advancing to the Divisional Round of the postseason, according to sources. Barry could still remain with the organization in some capacity, a possibility that is being discussed. Head coach Matt LaFleur will now be on his third defensive coordinator in six seasons when he hires a replacement for Barry, who had one year left on his deal. Barry had been the team's defensive coordinator since he replaced Mike Pettine in 2021. He had been on the hot seat since 2022, and the Packers defense finished 17th in total defense while also climbing into the top 10 in fewest points allowed. Green Bay's run defense was the issue, as they ranked 28th against the run in 2023, down from 26th in 2022 after they finished 11th in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
