Jimmy Garoppolo's Ankle Feels Great
4 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo (ankle) said that his ankle feels great after landing on Injured Reserve last season. He also stated that he's in "attack" mode after the team used the No. 3 overall pick on quarterback Trey Lance in last month's draft. "Really hasn't been a bother since I can't remember when," Garoppolo said about his ankle. Over the last three years, Jimmy G has played in a combined 25 games due to injuries, but he led the team to a Super Bowl berth when he played all 16 regular season games in 2019. He's gone 22-8 as the team's starter, but he hasn't been much of a fantasy asset as anything more than a midrange QB2. Garoppolo is expected to be the starter in 2021, but if he's injured again or Lance proves that he's ready, Garoppolo will be demoted or traded.
