Jarren Duran Going On The Injured List
1 year agoThe Boston Red Sox will place outfielder Jarren Duran (toe) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday, according to a source. In a corresponding move, the team is calling up outfield prospect Wilyer Abreu. Duran injured his left toe during Sunday's series finale against the New York Yankees and was set to undergo an MRI exam on Tuesday. With the 26-year-old on the shelf for at least the next 10 days, the Red Sox will likely go with a starting outfield of Masataka Yoshida in left, Adam Duvall in center and Alex Verdugo in right most of the time. In the meantime, Duran deserves to be stashed in an injured-list spot in all fantasy leagues, as he's hitting .295 (98-for-332) this year with eight home runs, 40 RBI, 24 stolen bases and 46 runs scored for Boston in 332 at-bats.
