Jared Goff Suffers Oblique Injury In Week 10 Tie
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff (oblique) suffered a strained oblique muscle late in the first quarter of the Week 10 tie with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Goff said he injured himself on an underthrown deep pass to wide receiver Kalif Raymond. He finished 14-for-25 for just 114 yards in a 16-16 tie on a rainy day in Pittsburgh, but the Lions coaching staff never seriously considered pulling Goff from the game. Detroit finished with a season-high 229 rushing yards in the game, mostly due to the soggy conditions and Goff's injury. The 27-year-old expects to be fine, but we'll have to keep a close eye on his practice status throughout the week in the leadup to the Week 11 game against the Cleveland Browns. David Blough would be forced into action if Goff is unable to play.
