Jared Goff Looking Good
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff isn't a lock to be the No. 1 option on the depth chart this season. However, head coach Dan Campbell seems encouraged by the veteran's showing during team activities this offseason. "No red flags with him," commented Campbell while recently speaking to the media, "He's commanding the huddle. He's throwing the ball well. Up to this point, he's having a good spring." The 27-year-old, who was traded by the Rams last offseason, finished his first year in Detroit by tossing 3,245 yards, 19 touchdowns, eight picks, and completing 67.2% of his attempts. Although those numbers are discouraging to some degree, Goff has a chance at turning things around in 2022, primarily with a talented receiving corps at his disposal. Still, he'll have to earn the starting job, so until that happens officially, fantasy managers should keep their distance.
