James Conner Underwent Toe Surgery
James Conner (toe) had surgery to fix a very moderate turf toe-type injury this offseason, according to sources. The procedure was performed by renowned specialist Dr. Robert Anderson. Conner incurred the injury while riding a recreational vehicle, but he's expected to be fully recovered in June. As a result, Conner will take a physical on his visit with the Arizona Cardinals on Monday. The 25-year-old was a Pro Bowler in 2018 with the Steelers, but he's been very inconsistent due to injuries in the last two seasons. Conner could be a big-bodied complement to the smaller Chase Edmonds in Arizona now that Kenyan Drake is out of town, but the two could eat into each other's upside if they are sharing the backfield in a committee approach in Arizona.
