Jalen Tolbert Set To Be Relegated To WR3 Role After George Pickens Trade
Jalen Tolbert was the team's WR2 for last season. It didn't work out very well, and he failed to consistently win on his routes and produce enough to justify the team not looking for other options after the 2024 league year. So Dallas swapped late-round picks and sent a 2026 3rd-round selection to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Pickens. Tolbert wasn't particularly fantasy relevant last season, though Dallas did try to force the ball to him at times, especially when WR1 CeeDee Lamb was injured. Tight end Jake Ferguson is more talented than he gets credit for, and he should serve as the 3rd-best pass-catching option behind Pickens, leaving little work left over for Tolbert. Even in deep dynasty fantasy football leagues, it's hard to imagine Tolbert having much of an impact, or being a player that helps the Cowboys significantly on offense.
