Carlos Correa Scratched with Back Tightness
Carlos Correa (back) was scratched from Wednesday's lineup with back tightness. Brooks Lee, who was originally getting the night off, will start at shortstop in his place. The severity of the injury is not yet clear, but hopefully it's just a day-to-day issue. Correa has struggled to stay on the field over the course of his career, playing in at least 135 games only four times out of nine full-length seasons. The 30-year-old has played in 52 games so far in 2025 but has slashed just .241/.285/.380. More details on the severity of the injury may come out after the game.
