Anthony Richardson to Miss Minicamp with Shoulder Injury
Anthony Richardson (shoulder) is dealing with a shoulder injury and will not participate in minicamp next week, according to head coach Shane Steichen. Needless to say, this is discouraging news for the former No. 4 overall pick after he has struggled to stay healthy during the first two seasons of his career. Richardson has played in just 15 of his 34 possible games since the Colts picked him in the 2023 NFL Draft. Richardson is expected to compete with Daniel Jones for the QB1 job in Indianapolis, and more injury troubles won't help his cause. Although the 23-year-old possesses big fantasy upside due to his rushing skill set, it feels like the organization is close to pulling the plug on him as the QB of the future. He should be stashed in Superflex formats and will be on the fantasy in single-QB leagues if he starts, but Jones is looking more and more likely to run the offense to start 2025. Richardson has completed just 50.6% of his passes for 2,391 yards, 11 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions so far in his young career.
