Jakeem Grant Sr. Won't Play In Week 17
4 years agoMiami Dolphins wide receiver/kick returner Jakeem Grant Sr. (ankle) suffered a high-ankle sprain in the Week 16 win over the Raiders on Saturday night, according to a source. Grant will not play in Week 17 against the division-rival Bills, and Injured Reserve is a possibility, meaning that he could miss some playoff games if the Dolphins advance. Grant could join Preston Williams on Injured Reserve, which would be really bad news for a receiving corps that has been pretty beat up in recent weeks. No. 1 receiver DeVante Parker (hamstring) also missed the win over the Raiders, so Miami's offense really needs him back against Buffalo in the regular season finale. If he can't return, it'll be Mack Hollins, Lynn Bowden Jr. and Isaiah Ford in three-wide sets for Miami. Bowden might be the best bet for those searching for a deep sleeper after he's seen 19 targets in the last three games. Rookie receiver Malcolm Perry is expected to fill in for Grant on punt returns, while rookie cornerback Noah Igbinoghene will field kickoffs.
