Jake Fraley Back From Injured List
1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds activated outfielder Jake Fraley (toe) from the 10-day injured list on Friday. While Fraley has returned to the Reds for a big weekend series against the division-rival Chicago Cubs, he won't be in the starting lineup for Game 1 of a doubleheader on Friday. The 28-year-old will eventually need surgery to fix a stress fracture in his left fourth toe, but he'll play through the injury for the rest of the 2023 season. Especially now that the Reds have both Harrison Bader and Hunter Renfroe, Fraley will most likely be limited to designated-hitter duties for the final month of the season. He's been a solid power/speed asset for fantasy managers in 2023, hitting .263/.346/.467 with an .813 OPS, 15 home runs, 63 RBI, 20 stolen bases and 40 runs scored in 289 at-bats.
