Jack Campbell 2026 Fantasy Football Outlook: Fantasy's Top Linebacker
Campbell has been on IDP radars ever since Detroit "reached" on him in the first round of the NFL Draft, but he was a slow starter. As a rookie the Lions limited Campbell's snaps, despite the fact he was considered a pro-ready prospect. In 2024 Campbell got his snaps, but he failed to finish better than LB36 overall in Standard IDP Scoring. Oddly enough, Campbell's production spiked in 2025 without many clear datapoints that would indicate why. His usage, missed tackle rate, blitz rate, and pass rush win rate all remained steady between 2024 and 2025. Still, Campbell jumped from a low-tier LB3 in 2024 to finishing first amongst all LBs in total fantasy points and in ppg. While the data doesn't explain this jump, Campbell's usage, talent, and pedigree all suggest it should continue. The Lions have invested $81 million and a first-round pick in the player and they use him on every down they can. His talent, usage, and 2025 performance all make him a strong pick as the top linebacker in fantasy, given there is a changing of the guard at the position as the other top tacklers age out or deal with injuries.
