J.P. Feyereisen Dealing With Biceps Tendinitis
J.P. Feyereisen's (biceps) MRI exam didn't reveal any structural damage, and he appears to be dealing with biceps tendinitis. Feyereisen will rest for a few days and then start working his way back, but he will be out for longer than 10 days. The 28-year-old right-hander has been solid for the Rays this year after coming over from Milwaukee in the Willy Adames trade. He's 4-3 with a 2.81 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 38 strikeouts and three saves in 41 2/3 relief innings. Fantasy managers in deeper leagues in need of saves should consider stashing him, as he's earned more high-leverage innings in Tampa's 'pen the rest of the way. Pete Fairbanks has recorded a hold and two saves in the last week, but Diego Castillo remains in the mix as well and has 13 saves, a 2.88 ERA and a career-high 12.3 K/9 in 34 1/3 innings.
