Isaiah McKenzie 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Might Start Season As WR4 With New Team
2 years agoFormer Buffalo Bills slot receiver Isaiah McKenzie signed a one-year, $1.23 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts this offseason. The Bills cut McKenzie in March after spending the past five seasons there and enjoying a career year in 2022. McKenzie finished with a career-high 42 catches for 423 yards and four touchdowns. He didn't have much fantasy production in Buffalo's high-powered offense last season, only averaging 7.49 PPR fantasy points per game. He was the WR3 for most of the season in Buffalo and will try to maintain that same role on a new team. With Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce locked into their respective roles on the outside, McKenzie will likely have to beat out third-round rookie Josh Downs for the slot/WR3 role in Indianapolis. Even if the veteran wins the starting job out of Training Camp, Downs will probably take over that role as the season progresses. The 28-year-old wideout is mainly an option in deep-league formats and is currently ranked 234th overall in the latest RotoBaller rankings.
