Isaiah Hodgins 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Crowded Giants WR Room Will Test Connection To Jones
2 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Isaiah Hodgins became a favorite target of QB Daniel Jones down the stretch of the 2022-23 season after being claimed off waivers from the Bills in early November. The second-year wideout out of Oregon State was even able to put up five touchdowns with the Giants in their last seven games. Hodgins' connection with Jones will certainly help assert him as one of the top receiving options on the team. Reports out of Week 2 at OTAs for the Giants have seen a strong connection still between the two. The big problem, though? The team muddled up the depth chart with new additions of Jalin Hyatt Parris Campbell, Jamison Crowder, and tight end Darren Waller. Wan'Dale Robinson (knee) and Sterling Shepard (knee) are returning from injury, and the team also has Darius Slayton. This further emphasizes the number of mouths to feed during the 2023-24 season for the squad. As with most situations at this point during the year, we will need to pay attention during training camp as reps and rapport with Jones get further understood. At his current FFPC ADP of 200.2, Hodgins would be a solid selection in best ball, dynasty, standard, and PPR leagues as you bank on his progress over last season.
