1 year agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed right-hander Hunter Greene (illness) on the COVID injured list on Friday and recalled pitcher Brett Kennedy from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. Greene will now miss his next scheduled start for Monday and will be forced to sit out for seven days. The 24-year-old hard-throwing hurler could return as early as Sept. 8 against the St. Louis Cardinals. He has missed the majority of the season due to injury, and in three starts since returning from the injured list on Aug. 20, Greene has allowed 15 runs (13 earned) on 18 hits (five home runs) while walking nine and striking out 14 in 12 innings pitched. The strikeout upside makes him worth rostering, but Greene will be a shaky lineup option when he returns from his bout with COVID.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
