Ryan Preece is back behind the wheel of a Cup Series car full time this season, as he has agreed to pilot the #41 Ford for Stewart-Haas Racing. He takes over the car that has been driven by Cole Custer for the past three years. From 2019 through 2021, Ryan Preece drove for JTG Daugherty Racing, so there's definitely a bit of a performance strength gain there with his recent signing at Stewart-Haas. At Daytona specifically, Preece has three top 10 finishes in his six career starts, including 6th- and 4th-place results in 2021. He will look to get off to a good start with his new team in Sunday's Daytona 500, where he starts 20th.--Jordan McAbee
