Harrison Burton Is A Risky Play For Daytona DFS Lineups
4 months agoThe No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing driver, Harrison Burton, will start the Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona International Speedway from the 20th position. This is the second-lowest starting position of Burton's Cup Series career at Daytona and the lowest of the season at tracks using the superspeedway rules package. In five previous starts at DIS, Burton's best finish is 19th, which he scored in August 2022 and remains his only top-20 finish at the site. In 24 races so far this season, Burton has five top-20 finishes and is the lowest in the regular season points standings of all full-time drivers. Two of Burton's top-20 finishes this year were finishes of 11th at Atlanta and 10th at Talladega, other tracks that use the superspeedway rules package. Regardless of the favorable finishes at superspeedways in 2024, Daytona is one of Burton's worst tracks statistically and is always a risk to roster in DFS at this track. Despite his starting position in the middle of the pack, there are other drivers with better history and/or equipment for the salary to recommend Burton as an overall DFS play this week.
